How to Consign
Consignment Basics:
1. No appointment is necessary. You may bring your items in at any time.
2. We consign your items for 60 days. There are exceptions for very high priced items which can be longer than 60 days.
3. You receive: 40% on items that sell under $99.99, 50% on items that sell $100.00 to $999.99,
65% on items that sell for $1000.00 to $1999.99, 70% on items that sell over $2000.00+
4. We set the selling price and will get the best possible price for you.
5. You may pick up unsolds at the end of your consignment, otherwise they become store property to donate or otherwise dispose of. The following is what our customers are looking for and what we need from you:
1. Better and high end designer apparel, handbags, shoes, jewelry and accessories in excellent condition and under 2 years old.
2. Items must be authentic. We do not carry FAKES of ANY KIND.
3. We don’t take vintage in general. The exception is hats and very high end designer (Chanel, Gucci, etc) handbags and apparel.
4. Seasonal consignments are:
Spring January – March
Summer April – July
Fall July – September
Winter October – December Two Ways to Benefit:
1. Store Credit – You may use your payment as store credit for any purchase at Otra Vez.
2. Consignment Payment–Upon sale of your items, you will receive payment. We pay at any time in the store when you have a balance in your account. If you live out of town, we can arrange to send you your check upon request. Preparing your items to make you more money!
1. Please make sure your items are CLEAN, PRESSED AND ON HANGERS.
2. Check that all the buttons are secure, fasteners are in working order and seams are not open.
3. Please make sure there are no stains, odors, discoloration, or fading.
4. Check that everything’s there. Forgetting a crucial accessory will decrease the value.
5. Keep labels on (don’t cut out). Also, if never worn, keep those price tags on. Taking the time to prepare your items will pay off in the long run and help us “win/win” with a good return!
Need to inquire what items are being accepted for September/October time frame as I am working on purging unused items. I have some great pieces that I just don’t get around using & would like to bring them by. Please email me and let me know or tell me where to locate that info via your website.
